Within Verallia Packaging, the Corporate Technical and R&D Department, based in Chalon-sur-Saône, supports the Group’s 35 glass plants and 5 Technical Centers in France and internationally.
We are looking for a Group Hot End Project Manager, based at the Group Technical Center in Chalon-sur-Saône in France.
Reporting to the Hot End Director, you will join the team responsible for standardizing hot end processes in the glass industry. Your scope will be international, covering all 35 plants of the Group.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Management
- Support for the BX AIR project (ultra-lightweight articles in BB, WMPB)
- Implementation of cost-saving initiatives (lehr, forehearth, utilities…)
- Technical expertise in AI and process control projects (ODIN, MASTER IS/BIGDATA…)
- Process Mastery
- Development of equipment strategies to optimize hot end processes
- Standardization of process parameters (MASTER IS, TOP, process network)
- Dissemination and monitoring of EHS standards
- Oversight of the Group’s strategic implementation across plants and countries
- Team and Network Management
- Technical reference within specialized networks (molds, processes, equipment, utilities…)
- Support and Standardization
- Standardization of hot end processes (pressing rules) and support to plants
- Participation in deployment of cost-saving solutions
- Experience in bottle production is highly valued
Mission Duration: Minimum 2 years
Profile:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or materials science
- Minimum 5 years of significant industrial experience, ideally in glass production
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanics and forming processes
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with strategic foresight
- Strong communication and listening abilities, persuasive and results-oriented
- Adaptable and comfortable working in multicultural and international environments
- Fluent in English is essential
