Within Verallia Packaging, the Corporate Technical and R&D Department, based in Chalon-sur-Saône, supports the Group’s 35 glass plants and 5 Technical Centers in France and internationally.
We are looking for a Group Mold Specialist based at the Group Technical Center in Chalon-sur-Saône in France.

Reporting to the Group Process Control Manager, your main role is optimization and standardization of mold & accessory technical specifications for 12 countries. You will in charge of technical validation of suppliers and animate the “Mold Enginierring” expert network.

Main Responsibilities:

Conception and deployment of Verallia standards

• Formalize specifications and requirements for equipment in collaboration with the purchasing and technical centers of the business units
• Propose and coordinate the standardization of molds and accessories
• Participate in the coordination and animation of the Mold Engineering working group
• Ensure sharing of technical best practices among different countries
• Responsible for technical relations with suppliers and ensuring their qualification (for the technical department and purchasing)

Technical Support for Molds & Accessories

• Provide technical expertise to Verallia sites in the areas of molds, cleaning, material specifications, etc.
• Provide support to purchasing departments, country technical centers, and factories
• Be the technical reference for VERALLIA's suppliers
• Assist sites in obtaining molds, particularly from new suppliers
• Conduct audits, provide technical support, and participate in supplier validations
• Write specifications and participate in technical decisions and supplier selection
• Assist training centers with mold-related topics.

Diffusion and monitoring of EHS standards application

• Participate in the continuous improvement of safety
• Ensure that suppliers comply with safety and regulatory aspects by following European directives, norms, and Verallia standards

Team management

• Lead the "Mold Engineering" expert group

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, machining, materials or foundry.
• Minimum 5 years of significant industrial experience, ideally in glass production
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanics, machining, materials, foundry and forming processes
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with strategic foresight
• Strong communication and listening abilities, persuasive and results-oriented
• Adaptable in multicultural and international environments
• Fluent in English
• Travel: Approx. 50%
