Position : Hot End Director (M/W) reporting to the Group Technical & R&D Director.
Location: Group Technical & R&D Center, Chalon-sur-Saône (France).
Scope: International, supporting 34 plants across the Group.
Travel: Approximately 30% to 50%.
Within the Corporate Technical & R&D Department, you will lead the Hot End regional leaders and define and deploy Verallia's technical strategy worldwide for Forming equipment and process.
You will manage a team of global technical experts and play a key role in supporting operational excellence, innovation, safety, and performance improvement across all production sites.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and deploy Verallia's Hot End technical strategy, supporting the Group's long-term industrial objectives.
- Lead International Technical Networks and drive the development and deployment of standards, procedures and best practices.
- Manage strategic projects, R&D programs and CAPEX optimization related to IS machines, forming technologies and associated equipment.
- Support Divisions worldwide by providing technical expertise, operational assistance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deploy innovative technologies, including forming simulation, lightweighting and new industrial solutions.
- Lead supplier technical qualification and contribute to Purchasing strategy and technical specifications.
- Drive EHS excellence, machine safety and regulatory compliance across all production sites.
- Develop people, technical capabilities and organizational effectiveness within the Hot End team.
Profile:
- Engineer degree or higher (general engineer, mechanical engineering…)
- Minimum 8 years / Significant experience in the glass manufacturing industry, particularly in forming and IS machine technologies.
- Proven experience leading international technical teams and projects.
- Strong expertise in industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and operational excellence.
- Experience in defining technical standards, managing suppliers, and supporting investment projects.
